What Is a Loss of Smell (Anosmia) Consultation?

A loss of smell consultation evaluates reduced or absent ability to detect odors and helps identify reversible or serious causes. During your visit, your provider will:

What We Review During Your Consultation:
  • Onset and duration of smell loss
  • Recent viral infections, including COVID-19
  • Nasal congestion, sinus infections, or allergies
  • Head injury, neurological symptoms, or medication use
  • Treatment options and recovery expectations

Why Early Evaluation Matters

In-home evaluation helps identify treatable causes and reduces delays in care. UrgentCare2Go® helps patients:

  • Identify infection-related or sinus-related causes
  • Rule out neurological or structural concerns
  • Develop treatment plans to restore smell function
  • Monitor recovery and symptom progression
