What Is a Foot Infection Consultation?

A Foot Infection consultation evaluates pain, swelling, redness, warmth, drainage, or other symptoms indicating bacterial or fungal infection. Providers determine severity, identify underlying causes, and recommend treatment to prevent complications such as cellulitis or systemic infection.

What We Review During Your Visit:
  • Infection symptoms including redness, warmth, swelling, and drainage
  • History of diabetes, immune compromise, or previous infections
  • Presence of wounds, cuts, or ulcers
  • Need for cultures or lab testing
  • Antibiotic selection and dosage guidance
  • Wound care, dressing instructions, and follow-up
  • Education on preventing future infections

Why Early Foot Infection Evaluation Matters

In-home evaluations allow rapid assessment to prevent the spread or worsening of infection. UrgentCare2Go® helps patients:

  • Identify the type and severity of infection
  • Determine need for lab testing or imaging
  • Start appropriate antibiotic or antifungal therapy
  • Receive wound care and prevention guidance
  • Reduce risk of complications and hospitalization
