What Is an Aphasia Evaluation?

An aphasia evaluation helps determine the extent of speech or language impairment due to neurological causes. During your visit, your provider will:

What We Review During Your Consultation:
  • Speech fluency, comprehension, and repetition
  • Ability to read, write, and name objects
  • Neurological history including strokes, TBI, or brain injury
  • Cognitive assessments related to language function
  • Guidance on therapy, referrals, and communication strategies

Why Early Evaluation Matters

Mobile visits allow timely detection and support for communication impairments. UrgentCare2Go® helps patients receive early assessment and therapy referral.

  • Identify type and severity of aphasia
  • Determine the need for speech therapy or neurological referral
  • Monitor communication function over time
  • Provide guidance on at-home exercises and coping strategies
