How UrgentCare2go Brings Medical Care to You

From Scheduling Through Follow-Up at Your LocationUploaded Image

UrgentCare2go® brings medical care directly to patients who may not want—or may not be able—to travel to a traditional clinic. The service is designed for many non-life-threatening health concerns and selected primary-care needs.

Instead of spending time driving, parking, and waiting in a crowded lobby, patients can request an appointment at a home, workplace, hotel, or another appropriate location within the service area.

Step One: Check Your Service Area

Begin by visiting the UrgentCare2go How It Works page and entering the ZIP code where the appointment will take place. This confirms whether a mobile team is currently available in that area.

UrgentCare2go serves the Dallas–Fort Worth region and communities including Arlington, Farmers Branch, Brownwood, Austin, Houston, El Paso, and San Antonio. Coverage may vary according to the address, staffing, travel distance, and appointment demand.

Step Two: Select an Appointment Window

Once service availability is confirmed, choose an available appointment window. You can register for an account or continue through guest checkout and provide the requested patient information.

Enter the patient’s symptoms carefully and include relevant medical history. Accurate information helps the care team understand the reason for the visit and prepare appropriately.

If you plan to use insurance, verify network participation and benefits before the appointment. Ask whether testing, treatment, medications, procedures, or other services may involve separate costs.

Step Three: Prepare for the Team’s Arrival

UrgentCare2go provides an estimated three-hour arrival window because mobile teams travel from one patient to another. A medical assistant will text when the team is on the way.

Before the appointment:

  • Make sure an adult will be present throughout the visit

  • Prepare the patient’s photo ID and insurance information

  • Secure pets in another room or enclosed area

  • Choose a clean space with adequate room and lighting

  • Gather medication lists and relevant medical records

These simple preparations help the visit proceed smoothly and safely.

Step Four: Complete Your Medical Evaluation

During the visit, the clinical team will review the patient’s symptoms, medical history, medications, and health concerns. The evaluation may include vital signs, a physical examination, appropriate point-of-care testing, or treatment recommendations.

UrgentCare2go may evaluate many common concerns, including respiratory symptoms, sore throat, fever, nausea, urinary symptoms, minor skin problems, allergies, and other non-emergency conditions.

Primary-care support may also be available for routine checkups, chronic-condition follow-up, medication management, health education, bloodwork, and selected screenings.

Step Five: Follow the Care Plan

After the evaluation, the provider will explain the recommended next steps. These may include home-care instructions, prescriptions when clinically appropriate, follow-up care, testing, or referral to another healthcare setting.

Some symptoms cannot be safely managed through mobile care. The provider may recommend an emergency department, imaging center, specialist, or in-person facility when a higher level of evaluation is needed.
